Who We Are
Dafan and Sue Ellen Zhang understand the hard work, sacrifice, and dedication it takes to succeed in this world when the odds are against you. As individuals, Sue Ellen embarked on her educational journey as a single, teenage mother and Dafan navigated homelessness during his journey. Both ended up taking a break from education. After Sue Ellen and Dafan found each other and started a life together, they decided to
resume their educational pursuits as non-traditional-immigrant-parent-students.
Dafan & Sue have raised four beautiful children, pursued fulfilling careers, and started multiple business ventures. Dafan and Sue Ellen hope to reach out and provide the help and support that is paramount to achieving success. It was with this goal that Dafan & Sue Ellen created the Dafan & Sue Foundation. Their goal is to provide educational and financial support in order to help individuals pursue their passions and dreams.

Dafan Zhang
Co-Founder | Trustee
Dafan studied computer science at DCCC, achieved a B.S. from West Chester University, an MPA from the University of Pennsylvania, a law degree from Penn Law, and is now pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration.
Sue Ellen Zhang
Co- Founder | Executive Director
Sue Ellen studied Applied Science at DCCC, attained her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master’s of Science in Education (M.S.Ed) from Penn. She is now pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration.
Tatiana Dorval
Trustee
Hi! I’m Tatiana Dorval, an instructional designer and training specialist with a love for animation and graphic novels. I’m currently looking to transition into a field that’s more focused on visual design and I’m working on a personal project of mine, a digital comic series that I hope to produce in the near future!
